I originally reached out to Alison for help thinking through my next career move—moving from graduate school into the professional world as a late 30-something. What I’ve ended up working with her on over the past year has been so much more. Her guidance and insightful prompts have allowed me to clarify my priorities and better understand the roadblocks I often don’t see. Alison has positively impacted how I see myself and my self-worth, as well as my ability to tackle whatever challenges or opportunities come next. Alison has been an invaluable help to me. She has assisted me in developing my goals, served as a reliable accountability partner, helped me think through the soundness of my plans, and stood ready to help me navigate any life challenge that arose. Working with Alison has been incredibly helpful for me across my professional and personal life. She is a valuable resource and trusted sounding board, especially as I’ve navigated significant turbulence on the work front, from leading a team to managing investors to (finally) setting work/life boundaries. I always come out of our conversations with a sense of clarity and clear path forward that has enabled me to be a better teammate and partner. — Jen
I first came to Alison because I needed someone to help me navigate relationships and confidential burdens I was carrying professionally, at work.
While this was a real need for me, and I was able to build healthy boundaries around them, the harder work has turned out to be the relationship I have with myself and the personal burdens I self impose.
Alison holds me accountable to prioritizing my own needs, when it is so much easier for me to pretend like I have none. She has coached me through traumatic work events, personal loss, my wedding and marriage, and where I am going next in my career and in all of it helped me to show up more as the person I wish to be.
1:1 coaching has surfaced for me just how hard I am on myself, how I judge myself for not being enough, and how my achievement orientation is holding me back from real rest, peace, joy and connection with those people who mean the most to me.
Alison acknowledges me in ways that strike a real cord. I did not realize how powerful it is to feel commended by someone for the emotional load and grief I expect myself to carry and be capable of navigating. – Caryn
My life has changed considerably over the past few years and I feel so lucky to have had Alison help me to navigate through it all. I finish my sessions with her feeling more grounded and able to move forward, regardless of what I’m going through – job searches, moves, promotions, or just life. Her guidance has helped me to focus on what I value most and make changes in my life that I feel grateful for everyday! – Meghan
